As well as the feature article, Rolling Stone Australia also gave the band's forthcoming album "Prisoner" a 4-star review, saying that the album is " a deeper, denser and darker sound than anything [they've] heard from the four-piece, one that requires patience and persistence, but pays off handsomely."

Advertising Age: Best Ad Songs of 2010

Advertising Age

Advertising Age picks the 10 best ad songs of the year...highlights include Temper Trap's "Sweet Disposition" and Vampire Weekend's "Holiday." Read what they've said about the two bands below.

Sweet Disposition & Diet Coke:

"First introduced to mainstream audiences last year courtesy of trailers for "500 Days of Summer," this Temper Trap track became the go-to song for hipster branding via this series of city-fied Diet Coke ads."

Holiday & Tommy Hilfiger:

"Say what you will about Tommy Hilfiger's first branding spot in five years, but the retailer couldn't have picked a more zeitgeisty band (or apropos track) to score its return to the airwaves."

Duffy on Temper Trap's "Sweet Disposition"

Conditions Packshot

Duffy picks Temper Trap's "Sweet Disposition" as the best thing she's heard in 2010. (from The Observer, Sunday 28 November 2010)

"I was en route somewhere and a song came on the radio that I'd never heard before and I thought, "Oh, gosh! What is this?" It turned out it was "Sweet Disposition" by the Temper Trap. There's something very mysterious about it that I like. Ambiguous, if I can get away with that word. It's hard to tell whether it's a man or a woman singing, but there's a really uplifting, operatic quality to the voice; it's something out of the box and really rather brave. I'm a big fan of the deep soul that Dave Godin promoted, and he once said that to appreciate music you need to know how it feels to be standing at the edge of a cliff. And I experienced that feeling with this."
